Grass Fed Asian Style Beef Stew

I absolutely love old school recipes with a modern twist!  This dish is an all time favourite!  I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients
Meat
  • 1 kg Grass Fed Beef Cube or short ribs
  • Sea Salt
  • Freshly Ground Pepper
Sauce
  • 1 Green Apple Cored
  • 1/2 cup Tamari
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 3 Spring Onion/Scallions Roughly chopped
  • 1 piece Ginger thumb size
  • 2 tsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup Chicken or Bone Broth
Instructions
  1. Brown the meat in a frying pan and season with salt and pepper.  Place the meat in a slow cooker or an electric pressure cooker.

  2. In a blender, combine the sauce ingredients and blend for a minute.

  3. Pour the sauce over the meat and if using a slow cooker, set your cooker to 6-8 hours on high.  If you're using an electric pressure cooker, use the setting for meat/stew and once the meat is finished cooking, leave it in the pressure cooker without releasing the steam for a few hours.  The meat should be tender and delicious.

  4. Serve with Cauliflower Rice, broccoli or greens.  Can also be served with rice.
