If you have been to our house for a BBQ you are bound to have had this Asian Inspired Broccoli Salad!

The crunchiness of the nuts and the raw broccoli, cauliflower and mange tout.  Plus the flavours and tartness of the cherry tomatoes is sublime!

When you try this recipe, the trick is to prepare the broccoli and cauliflower first, which can be done a day in advance.  Then add your mange tout and cherry tomatoes.  Toast the nuts and coconut until crunchy and let them cool.  Then add to the dish just before serving.  Add the dressing and warm toasted sesame seeds.  Mix it all together and you’re good to go!

If you are sensitive to raw broccoli and cauliflower, you can lightly steam them before chopping them up for the salad.  I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m sure it would taste just as good as a ‘Warm Asian Inspired Broccoli Salad’.

You could serve this salad with any meal, or even have it as a meal on its own.

I like to serve it with my Easiest Roast Chicken recipe, or Lebanese Lemon Garlic Chicken

Please try this recipe and let me know what you think!  I love feedback! ❤️

This recipe originally came from the Hopewood Recipe Book, which is a health retreat in NSW, Australia.  My friend in Sydney, Leigh gave it to me as a gift! Every time I make this dish, people love it – it truly is delicious, while being nutritious and a perfect combination of all the vitamins and minerals!  Cruciferous vegetables contain an enzyme called Indol Carbonyl-3 which helps the liver to cleanse/process excess oestrogen, that's why the Brassica family (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, pok choi and kale) are so important for cleansing your body!  This is a delicious way of getting more of these nutrient packed vegetables into your diet!
